I like coming up with new ideas to solve complex challenges.

Don’t get me wrong, making practical things can be a challenge as well but it doesn’t always leave much room for creativity. When you’re always solving for cost, reliability, and complexity you tend to tread down the same paths because you know they work.

That’s why I like to make impractical things. There isn’t a wealth of knowledge to build from so I’m forced to be creative and find new solutions. In the end, it’s not really about finishing the project it’s about having fun coming up with new ideas and learning things along the way.
